AGARTALA, Jan 29 (TIWN): On Saturday at 9.30 am, a program was held to pay homage to Martyr Pradip Chakraborty’s altar in front of the Student Youth Building at Belonia Bank Road.

The CPIM leaders, activists, student youth organization’s leaders, the family members of Martyr Pradeep Chakraborty too paid homage with flowers at Pradeep Chakraborty's altar.

Student youth organization DYFI organized the programme, during the programme CPIM Bilonia Subdivision committee secretary Tapas Dutta, Party South District Secretary Basudeb Majumder, CPIM District member Dipankar Sen, DYFI Belonia subdivision committee president Ripu Saha and secretary Madhusan Datta was present.

Martyr Pradip Chakraborty was assassinated on January 29, 1993 during Congress period, reportedly. The leaders stated that there is no difference between the misrule of Congress and BJP-led government.

A blood donation camp was held at the CPIM Bilonia divisional office centering 30th Martyrs' Day of Pradip Chakraborty. Total 43 people donated blood voluntarily, CPIM Belonia sub-divisional secretary Tapas Das completed his 50th blood donation by donating blood today at the blood donation camp.
