AGARTALA, Jan 29 (TIWN): On 7 points demand SFI, TSU placed deputation to the Director of Education Department for the benefit of students. The demands which were raised that Hostel should be kept open in accordance with the rules. Adequate COVIID tests should be arranged in hostels including campus by government initiative and if any of the boarding students are detected positive then to make suitable arrangements for healthy companionship.
The plan to take exams in Educational institutions before the specified time should be cancelled immediately. The Education institute should pay attention to completing the syllabus before taking the exam and if the syllabus cannot be completed final exam decision has to be taken after consultation with the students.
Appropriate steps should be taken to monitoring Private educational institutions whether following the COVID guidelines or not. To take adequate precautionary measures to ensure that COVID infection does not spread during the test.
Appropriate initiatives should be taken by the Department of Education to keep the campus functional in compliance with all the co-ordinated rules. In COVID situation all kinds of student fees have to waive.
Total six delegation members placed the deputation under the leadership of Sandipan Deb.
