TELIAMURA, Jan 26 (TIWN): Crime spree in Tripura continues to display lawless condition of the state. On Republic Day an SPO’s dead body was found in Teliamura. The SPO Biplab Debnath who was under training was going missing from 23rd January, has been found dead today. Family members and locals alleged that he was murdered. Talking to a local, he said, “A 6 feet man can’t hang himself at 3 feet height. This is clear evidence that he was murdered”. His family members broke down in cries, screaming seeing his dead body. The family alleged, after he was killed, the murderers dropped his dead body here. The recovery of the dead body was on Wednesday morning when the state was celebrating Republic Day.
Reportedly Biplab was missing from 23rd Jan and accordingly his family registered a missing diary case at Teliamura PS. After 2days of his missing, Biplab’s body was recovered in hanging condition 300mts far away from his house on a tree.
The family alleged he was killed somewhere else and then he was hanged on a tree in the area as his leg was touched in the ground and also bloodstains were noticed in his leg.
Upon receiving the information of the incident, the police of Teliamura PS rushed to the spot along with the Dog squad.
Teliamura Police recovered his body and sent it for an autopsy.
