AGARTALA, Jan 25 (TIWN): CPI-M top leaders appeared in West Dist Court in connection to a case filed by Police in 2020 centering on a Protest programme in Paradise Chowmuhani during the Covid situation.

The protest was held against the livelihood crisis going on among the working class due to Covid situation.

CPI-M leaders Badal Chowdhury, Manik Sarkar, Pabitra Kar appeared in the Court.

Talking to the media, Manik Sarkar said, “Let’s see what the Court decides. If it wants to appear us in person, we will appear and if it allows lawyers to represent us, we will do that too. If we are ordered to be jailed, then jail will be a destination. What’s the harm?”
