AGARTALA, Jan 24 (TIWN): CPI-M leader Pabitra Kar has accused Biplab Deb Govt of the deteriorating health of former Minister Badal Chowdhury who has been consistently harassed by police with fabricated cases.“Due to inhuman tortures on him, Badal Chowdhury could never recover from his health. Behind Badal Chowdhury’s health, Biplab Deb Govt is responsible”, said Kar.The statement from Pabitra Kar came after he was interrogated by Crime Branch again in a property-related case, which started last year.

It’s believed that Ratan Lal Nath who is holding an important post in the Biplab Deb Govt’s cabinet has blueprinted tortures, cases against Badal Chowdhury in return of Badal Chowdhury 2017’s statement in Assembly against Ratan Lal Nath reminding him about political ethics as Nath was chanting ‘Modi’, ‘Modi’ without resigning from Congress. Ratan Lal Nath also during the Court hearing organized a press meet at BJP headquarter and announced “Badal Chowdhury’s political career is finished”. But in that case, police failed to prove any charge against Badal Chowdhury. During the hearing, Badal Chowdhury was lifted from the ILS hospital’s bed to the police station which has made him sicker at that time. Total two cases were lodged against Badal Chowdhury; one was a flyover case and another PWD construction along with the then Chief Secretary Y.P.Singh, Chief Engineer Sunil Bhowmik. None of the cases could bring any proper evidence of corruption.
