AGARTALA, Jan 15 (TIWN): Biplab Deb's Police from West Women PS today rushed to ruling BJP Party MLA Arun Chandra Bhowmik’s daughter Anindita Bhowmik’s house to arrest her. But the shocking fact is the 2 women Police officials could not explain on being asked about their purpose to arrest Anindita Bhowmik from her in-laws home. Even though, when Bhowmik told the Police official that she will cooperate with the Police official keeping her video record on, the two officials immediately left Bhowmik’s house without asking her anything.

Anindita Bhowmik said before the media, “No cases are launched against me....  even the Police officials have no idea why they rushed to my house, might be someone else sent them and that’s why they came to my home.”

However, without an arrest warrant Police cannot arrest someone, amid this rule the Police have been launching raids in several innocent People’s houses and detaining under the Pressure from Higher Authority.

Oppositely, TMC steering committee member Subal Bhowmik condemned the Police sudden visit at Anindita Bhowmik’s house and said “In Democratic country everyone has the right to protest against Govt’s work but whenever someone protests Police detaining them under the order of CM”.

“Such kind of activities of Police have become common in the state, Public has lost faith from the role of Police and administrative”, added Subal Bhowmik.
