GANDACHERRA, Jan 14 (TIWN): A woman named Rani Tripura was detained by police based on local people’s complaints after she was allegedly trying to sell huge numbers of jewelry at the cost of only Rs. 1,500.
The jewelry shop owner instead of being greedy, informed police which helped the victim Jhutan Malakar to get back his stolen items. However Rs. 10000 cash and silver items were not found.
Reportedly, in the Gandachera Surma area, one Jhutan Malakar lost all his gold, silver ornaments, cash after the theft incident.
Then the accused thief Rani Tripura, a resident of was caught with the initiative of the shopkeeper.
Now, whether she was directly involved in the theft or used by anyone to sell off the jewelry, police are investigating the matter.
