Agartala, Dec 28 (TIWN): Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) observed party’s 129th Foundation Day across the state, here today. The main observance took place at Congress Bhavan in Agartala.
As part of the observance of party’s Foundation Day, TPCC state committee president- Diba Chandra Hrankhwl hosted the party’s flag while the National Flag was hosted by the MLA Gopal Roy. Besides, the Youth Congress state committee president- Susanta Chowdhury and National Students’ Federation of India (NSUI) state president- Bapi Das hosted Youth Congress and NSUI flags respectively.
To commemorate the party’s Foundation Day, the TPCC leaders paid tribute to the memory of Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in front of Congress Bhavan. Later, the TPCC leaders moved to Gandhighat and paid floral homage to the martyrs.
To mark the 129th Foundation Day, Youth Congress organized a mega blood donation camp at the Congress Bhavan while Unokoti district Congress leaders also conducted a blood donation camp at party office.
Besides, all the block level, sub-divisional level and district level Congress committees observed the party’s 129th Foundation Day with full dignity.
During the observance, many other TPCC leaders and members including MLA Birjit Sinha, MLA Jiten Sarkar, working president Ashis Saha, TPCC state committee secretary- Pradip Chakraborty, veteran Congress leader- Kamal Pal, former NSUI president- Vicky Prasad and leaders of Congress Seva Dal remained present.
