AGARTALA, Nov 30 (TIWN): “Joy Tripura, Joy Tiprasa” slogan was heard from Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi in Jantar Mantar in Delhi today during a protest was staged by Tripura Regional Party Tipra Motha and IPFT. The “Joy Tripura'' slogan was coined by Trinamool Congress for the upcoming 2023 Poll. Chaturvedi while addressing the Greater-Tipraland movement lambasted the Modi Govt for suspending her from the Parliament session. She said, “Today women are being suspended from Parliament because we raise demands of the common men and our voice was louder. Is it fair ? tell me…”. The Tipra Motha and IPFT supporters supporting her statement said at the time “No…”. She said, the Shiv Sena fully supports the demand of the common men from Tripura and her party will give all its support.The development came amid West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee leaving for Mumbai on Tuesday afternoon and said at the Kolkata airport that she would meet Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar and will try to meet Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray as well during her three-day trip.

Regional parties TIPRA Motha and IPFT have kicked off protests demanding a separate state for indigenous tribes in Tripura named ‘Greater Tipraland’.

The movement was initiated by Tripura Royal scion Pradyot Manikya led TIPRA Motha party and is now joined by the IPFT party. Other regional tribal parties already merged with TIPRA Motha.TIPRA Motha is now ruling the Tripura ADC followed by a massive public mandate.

Thousands of Greater Tipraland supporters have been agitating at Jantar Mantar in Delhi today. The leaders are also scheduled to meet PM Modi and Amit Shah. IPFT Minister Mebar Jamatia who is a cabinet member of Biplab Deb Govt here also present in Delhi.
