AGARTALA, Nov 28 (TIWN): Reacting over Tripura CM Biplab Deb’s statement of ‘Public mandate in support of BJP’, CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Choudhury said ‘If it is a Public Mandate who were them who alleged that they could not cast votes. Such videos along with rigging videos are viral in social media, media”.
BJP on Sunday secured a clean sweep while the Trinamool Congress emerged as a strong political force in the Tripura civic elections for which polling was held on November 25.
But the entire poll was held amid terror and massive rigging. Left, TMC and Tipra Motha all the anti-BJP parties have criticized the BJP for its massive poll violence and intimidation. At the same time parties also condemned Election Commission and Police’s role.
TMC has claimed it has emerged as the second strongest party in Tripura after BJP, whereas Left has rubbished the claim.
