'Mockery happened in the name of Election' : TMC Challenged Tripura Election Commission in Supreme Court

AGARTALA, Nov 26 (TIWN): As extreme poll rigging has happened in Tripura Municipal Poll, common voters who don’t belong from any Political background could not even cast their vote in various wards.

Centering the Poll rigging in Tripura Municipal Poll, TMC to has moved Supreme Court demanding re-polling. 

In Press meet TMC leader Rajib Banerjee said that massive Poll Rigging has happened in Tripura, which broke all records of Poll Rigging in Tripura’s history. Banerjee said, “TMC to move Supreme Court demanding re-poll as huge numbers of voters could not cast their voting right”.

"Police and Election Commission did not play role neutrally", alleged Banerjee.

He also challenged the Election Commission to investigate neutrally in various wards to check how many voters have vote ink marks on forefingers. The statement came after 81.5% vote secured in Tripura Municipal Poll.

During the press meet TMC also alleged that among 51 candidates total 10 candidates of TMC were not allowed to cast their vote. TMC leader, Rajib Banerjee said attacks have been occurring on TMC supporters and activists state-wide. Beside, Banerjee also said that the TMC candidate, Tapan Biswas of Ward-51 who received injury in his eyes, chest and head and his one eye has damaged.
