AGARTALA, Nov 23 (TIWN): The Supreme Court asked the Tripura state government to consider deployment of additional forces for the municipal election. It further asked the BJP government to brief whether one of its MLAs made hate-mongering statements in the presence of CM Biplab Deb.
The notice was ordered after TMC sought contempt action against the Tripura Govt over pre-poll violence.
“No courtesy, No mercy, just attack TMC candidates“, BJP MLA Surajit Datta incited mob violence, attacks against TMC candidates in Municipal Poll on November 13, that too in front of CM Biplab Deb. This is not the first ever violent statement but earlier BJP MLAs like Arun Bhoumik, Biswabandhu Sen and many others delivered mob-violence instigating statements which resulted in massive violence in the state.
