AGARTALA, Nov 22 (TIWN): Regional Party TIPRA Motha which has won Tripura ADC poll has been participating in State Municipal Election for the first time but like other opposition parties, the party has also faced undemocratic treatment by the Police, Govt. Condemning the ongoing violence centering the Municipal Election in Tripura, TIPRA Motha chairman Pradyot Manikya has lambasted the Govt for its failure to control the law and order situation which is resulting in barbaric attacks even on the media persons who are coming from other states.

Manikya also condemned the unfair treatment to the two women journalists who came to Tripura and reported about the attacks on the minorities.

“Our party programme was cancelled at the last moment. Govt mus reconsider the Law and Order.........I was attacked in Mohanpur SDM Office on 9th April but even after having CCTV footage nobody was arrested. By such undemocratic exercises and violence, the reputation of Tripura is getting hampered. Who will invest in the state if investors find everyday Tripura violence reported in national newspapers ? Govt should talk to all parties and ensure safety, fair treatment to all”, said Manikya.

Tripura Municipal Election will be conducted on 25^th November and BJP has won over 34% seats uncontested rigging allegations by opposition and viral violence footage.
