AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): Former Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Saturday has said that Tripura is now undergoing 50 years of worst time.
Manik Sarkar was addressing the Agartala poll rally and said, “People’s voices had been suppressed since the beginning of this BJP Govt's establishment. From the opposition to journalists, severe attacks have brought on them. The structure of democracy is ruined”.
“Constitution has turned invalid in Tripura and amid such a situation, the economic condition is miserable. I would say, people have not seen such a condition of Tripura in the last 50 years”, said Sarkar.
“BJP is trying to instigate tensions in the state and minorities are rapidly attacked. By doing these, the ruling party is trying to win the election”, said Manik Sarkar.
