BELONIA, Nov 16 (TIWN): Tripura CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Choudhury slammed BJP-IPFT led Tripura Govt for its failure to fulfil pre-poll promises made to the people of Tripura.
Choudhury was addressing in Belonia CPI-M’s massive rally and said, “Before the Election, BJP did lots of promises like 7th pay Commission in the first cabinet meeting, clearance of arrears, jobs and so many things but now only one work has been done by the Govt in last 44 months which is to collect thousands of crores from the common men by taxing them”.
“In the name of GST, property tax, license, power, water just loots are going on in the state”, he said.
Jitendra Choudhury alleged that per month hundreds of crores and per year thousands of crores are looted by the BJP Govt through taxes.
He further lambasted the Govt over petrol, diesel and cooking gas price hikes and at the same time, massive attacks on the opposition candidates and workers by BJP hooligans.
Jitendra Choudhury appealed to the voters to vote for left and to restore democracy. He said, Left Front is the only means of development.
