AGARTALA, Nov 15 (TIWN): After repeated defeats in High Court and Supreme Court, in another slap from the Court to the BJP led Tripura Govt, HW News Network journalists were released on bail by Gomati District Tripura. Senior Advocate Pijush Biswas appeared on behalf of the arrested journalists Samriddhi K.Sakunia and Swarnna Jha. After they were detained by Assam Police and brought to Tripura both of them were arrested but immediately the Court gave relief with the bail order. Both the women journalists were reporting on Tripura violence and were leaving the state and in Assam, they were detained and then arrested by Tripura police. In less than 24 hours, the journalists were released. Based on Viswa Hindu Parishad's complaint police turned proactive to arrest both the journalists --- 1) Samriddhi K.Sakunia and 2) Swarnna Jha.

As per the details, the two young journalists Samriddhi K.Sakunia and Swarnna Jha who are employees of HW News Channel network were detained in Karimganj, Assam.

The Viswa Hindu Parishad group which itself is prime accused for organizing communal violence in Tripura’s various parts did not come under police action yet but based the accused group member's complaint against the two reporters for ‘criminal conspiracy’ BJP ruled Assam Govt took the action.

The two journalists were returning from Tripura to their own land and were detained.

Tripura’s dictator regime is being criticized nationwide and recently over hundreds of cases with UAPA charges have been taken by the Police here over social media posts and statements on Tripura violence.
