Death Toll Raised to 114 among 10323 Teachers : Terminated Teacher Madhusudan Debnath died due to Lack of Money for Proper Treatment

AGARTALA, Nov 15 (TIWN): One more teacher has passed away among Tripura’s terminated 10323 teachers. The deceased teacher has been identified as Modhusudan Debnath resident of Melaghar, Sipahijala Dist. He was suffering from critical illness and due to jobless condition for 20 months, his family could not arrange better medical treatment for him.JMC has condoled his death. In a social media condolence, JMC stated, “We are shocked to learn again the untimely demise of our beloved teacher Lt. Modhusudan Debnath resident of Melaghar, Sipahijala district. It is learned that he had been suffering from physical ailments since long back and were unable to give him better treatment due to job termination and left out of income for 20 months. Our heartfelt condolences to the family members at this time of grief. We pray for the departed soul. RIP"

10323 teachers lost their jobs as per SC’s order but BJP before the 2018 election promised the 10323 teachers to solve their uncertainty related problems in their jobs and to make them permanent or reappointing them but as the Govt could not fulfill its promise, so 10323 teachers decided to protest.

On January 27, 2021 over 500 among agitating terminated teachers were tortured by Police during a peaceful movement after getting order from Home Dept for lathi-charge and use of tear gas.

Total 4 terminated teachers died this month.
