AGARTALA, Nov 11 (TIWN): There are lots of traditional food items which have become parts of Tripura’s food habit but sometimes people out of poverty have to take one type of food which not only shows the crisis but also vitamin, protein deficiencies may occur.
As per the ground report, there have been tremendous work and food crises in hilly areas and this year due to Jhum cultivation and crop failure many families are living under heavy poverty.
Such a scenario was seen in Mugiakami’s Atharomura area’s 45 mile village. Around 50 families live there.
Locals alleged, they are not getting work, mandays in time which has turned their lives tough. During visits, it was seen that the locals are depending upon tadpoles for food.
Due to crop recovery compensation’s no arrangement such problems are increasing among farmers.
