AGARTALA, Nov 10 (TIWN): 10323 teachers who were terminated due to recruitment process’s guideline violations, were promised by the BJP in 2018 to solve their problems by bringing an amendment to make them permanent.
But over 20 months have passed that the teachers are jobless and 43 months of the BJP Govt formation. In protest 10323 teachers today met the Education Director Chandni Chandran and placed a deputation to her.
During the deputation placement programme, the teachers staged a demonstration in front of the Education office as huge numbers of security forces had prevented the teachers from entering the Education office. A representative team of the 10323 teachers were allowed to enter the office.
Talking to the media, JMC member Kamal Deb said, “Our employment cards have been seized by the Govt and we are unable to face any interview. Today the death toll has risen to 112 but the Govt has not resolved our matter. If the Govt does not keep its promise soon, JMC’s protests will be expanded”.
