Kailasahar, Dec 26 (TIWN): Suppressed resentment is brewing among the students of Tilla Bazar Senior Madrasa at Kailasahar as they have been facing teacher shortage problem for long time. According to the students, no new teacher was recruited from the beginning of the Madrasa.
The students alleged, despite several deputations, the concerned authority has been managing to continue the classes by hiring teachers from different organizations and institutions while some of the teachers were retired from their services recently. At such situation, the students have been passing through a very difficult time in course of learning.
Among three Madrasa centers of the state, the students of Tilla Bazar Senior Madrasa bagged good results but now the learning is being disrupted by the shortage of teachers, said a source.
On the other hand, there is no permanent Head Master for the centre; a teacher has been working as an in-charge for long period.
The students have also been facing from drinking water crisis as almost all the taps are lying in miserable condition, said a local resident adjacent to Tilla Bazar Senior Madrasa. He further alleged that the students need to keep them fresh (Aju) before performing Namaj. But the students face problem to do so as the water taps do not work properly, they added.
The demands of the students for formation of Madrasa Board and changing the syllabus are remained unfulfilled till date. As a result, laying importance on the syllabus change, the students are drawing attention of the higher authority.
