AGARTALA, Nov 8 (TIWN): BJP has literally failed to solve 10323 teachers’ problems amid the party’s promise to resolve the matter at the earliest. Terminated 10323 teachers held a press meet in Agartala on Friday to draw State Govt’s attention to the long-pending issue of 10323 teachers’ permanent solution. By this time, the death toll has risen to 112 as one more teacher Ratan Kumar Das has died after he became sick while working as a daily worker. 51 years old Ratan Kumar Das has passed away after he received injuries in a construction site in Agartala as he joined as a daily labourer. He was working in road repairing work and while pulling materials. He received injuries in his neck and hands and yesterday he was suffering from severe pains and anxiety. He was taken to GB hospital but could not survive.

JMC 10,323 teachers will march towards the Education Office on 10th November with certain demands.

While addressing the press meet, 10323 teachers alleged that Tripura Govt has deceived the Supreme Court with false statements about Group-C and Group-D posts saying these posts were made for the terminated teachers whereas in High Court Tripura Govt submitted an affidavit saying that such recruitments are no more possible.

10323 teachers lost their jobs as per SC’s order but BJP before the 2018 election promised the 10323 teachers to solve their uncertainty related problems in their jobs and to make them permanent or reappointing them but as the Govt could not fulfill its promise, so 10323 teachers decided to protest.

On January 27, 2021 over 500 among agitating terminated teachers were tortured by Police during a peaceful movement after getting order from Home Dept for lathi-charge and use of tear gas.
