AGARTALA, Nov 6 (TIWN): Tripura’s recently emerged poll-rigging culture continues to snatch public voting rights which started since the 2018 poll victory by BJP with a massive mandate given by voters. In 2018 in the local body polls, BJP won over 90% seats uncontested and thanks went the paralyzed role of the State Election Commission and Police Department. In 2021 also, the culture remained the same though the public are openly voicing against the Govt and it's visible that the free and fair polls can not help BJP to win the election. Keeping the pre-poll rigging trend, BJP has bagged around hundred seats among 334 seats in this Municipal Election. If previous records are checked, the next rigging might be conducted on the poll day and counting day.

Booth capturing and empty-opposition counting halls are also expected as per the trend of Tripura BJP as in previous elections polling agents of the opposition were not allowed to stay in the counting halls.

In the ADC poll, TIPRA Motha party had to knock the High Court twice as the Govt was violating the voting dates announcement deadlines and also was violating Vote counting rule of ADC ahead of counting.

This time also in the Municipal Poll, various opposition parties could not submit nominations and over hundreds of seats BJP won uncontested amid opposition parties led serious allegations of violence, attacks continued.
