BELONIA / AGARTALA, Oct 30 (TIWN): Under Tripura CM Biplab Deb led BJP’s barbaric attacks on Opposition Leaders, Opposition activists not only destroying every fabric of Indian Constitution but turned Democracy into a mockery where criminals are ruling the roost. Barbaric attacks continue in Belonia, Mohanpur and many other places where BJP’s bike gangs are attacking the CPI-M candidates’ houses and also voters houses who joined rallies or campaigning of CPI-M. Such attacks turned a Political culture of Tripura. CPI-M State Secretary Jitendra Choudhury has requested the State Election Commission to take control over the situation and allow a ‘Free and fair’ election which could not be seen since 2018. P's bike-gang attacked CPI-M's Municipal poll candidate Bhola Das and many other candidates' houses in Belonia.

In some places, party supporters who only campaigned with CPI-M candidates were attacked, houses were vandalized and looted.

On the other hand, the BJP Govt is using all mechanisms to foil TMC’s rally in Agartala and using police force to prevent TMC members from organizing the rally in the permitted venue.

In Belonia, talking to a victim who is a senior citizen Khuku Ghosh, she said, “It was around 2.30 pm when Ward No-2 candidate came to our home for campaign and all of a sudden miscreants brick-pelted in our home and then vandalized it. Yet now, the election is far away and the candidate just came to talk to us and that’s the level of attack on us. We informed the police but the police did not come to our home. The miscreants were wearing masks, clothes over faces”.
