AGARTALA, Oct 23 (TIWN): On 22nd October while TMC leaders and workers were performing “Public Contact Programme” at Amtali Bazar area under the leadership of Sushmita Deb, all of a sudden around 20-25 goons attacked on TMC leaders and brutally beaten up allegedly before CRPF and police openly in broad day. Also their newly inaugurated vehicle was vandalized. Centering this attack TMC leaders rushed to Police Headquarters, Agartala today and placed a deputation to DGP demanding arrest of culprits within 12 hours.

Among the 20-25 youths, six youths were identified with the help of locals----Joy Rakshit, Mantu Debnath, Bulan Saha, Biplab Saha, Sajal Bhattacharjee, Surajit Chakraborty and cases have been filed against them. 

In yesterday's brutal attack Mamon khan was injured seriously and now undergoing treatment at ILS hospital fighting for life. 

Over this brutal attack TMC MP, Sushmita Deb said that the way the youths attacked on TMC members openly without covering their faces it means they have strong support of Government Power and protection, which has already been proven.
