AGARTALA, Oct 21 (TIWN): An FIR was lodged against BJP leader Tapas Malakar in West Agartala PS for torturing his wife.

Reportedly, she is Tapas Malakar’s second wife and due to political muscle, Tapas Malakar is keeping extra-marital relations with multiple women.

But even after the police called him, Tapas did not pay any visit to the PS. Moreover, Tapas Malakar takes MLA Surajit Datta, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's name before his wife to threaten her.

It has been alleged that Tapas Malakar who is also the Bazar Committee Secretary of Lake Chowmuhani market is involved in drug-smuggling.

The housewife on Thursday filed a case of domestic violence against Tapash Malakar at the West Agartala Women's Police Station. Tapas Malakar's wife further alleged that her husband claimed to be an activist of the ruling party by selling various items including brown sugar drug tablets.
