AGARTALA, December 24 (TIWN): A massive road mishap on Wednesday morning at Bilaikang area under Mungiacami Police Station, left at least 3 injured, amongst whom 2 seriously injured were referred to Agartala GB Hospital.
Speaking to TIWN Officer-In-Charge of Mungiacami Police Station Ajoy Debbarma said that the incident took place while one passenger jeep bearing number-TR03-1966 moving towards Mungiacami from Bilaikang area the driver lost control and met with an accident at Bilaikang area, he added. As a result, all three persons of the vehicle were injured seriously namely Kumari Debbarma, Rabipani Debbarma and Bishwa Debbarma.
After receiving the information police of Mungiacami police station rushed to the place of occurrence and sent the injured persons to Teliamura government hospital. Of late, they were referred to the GBP hospital after conducting first aid, said police.
However, the driver of the jeep was arrested from the place after the accident. Police seized the jeep and registered a specific case in this regard.
According to official report, altogether 2581 road mishaps occurred in the last three financial years including 901 road accidents in the financial year 2012 12, 855 accidents in the year 2013 14 and 363 more road mishaps in the year 2014 till date.
