AGARTALA, Oct 3 (TIWN): In connection with September 8 Agartala City torching incident, Raghunath Lodh (Raghu) has been arrested and sent to 3 days police remand but the masterminds behind the violence like Rajib Bhattacharjee like leaders are happily busy in various programmes and leading party meetings in Krishna Nagar Party headquarter.

Raghu Lodh was arrested under West Agartala PS, Case No.154/2021 one day ahead of the High Court’s hearing although many youths had participated in the violence on September 8 who burnt many cars, entered various offices and set them on fire under the leadership of Rajib Bhattacharjee, MLA Kalyani Roy, Papia Datta, Viki Prasad, Nabadul Banik, Tunku Roy.

Today after nearly a month’s passage Raghu Lodh was arrested by the Crime Branch ahead of the High Court’s hearing in this incident which is scheduled for tomorrow.

Police sought 4 days police remand and Court also accepted the plea, rejecting the bail plea of Raghu. The Sections which have been imposed against him --   148, 427, 436, 326, 147 380 IPCs.

So far only 1 person has been arrested and Raghu has literally turned the identified scapegoat of BJP out of media trial although police could identify the other persons involved in the violence who were not covered under media trial.

Recently the Press Council of India also had issued notice to the State's DGP and also Chief Secretary over the incident of September 8.

On September 8, a total of 3 media houses were vandalized by miscreants across Tripura.

As no arrest had been taken place by Tripura Police and no action was taken by Crime Branch of Tripura to whom the PB24 media house vandalism case was handed over even after having clear evidence of September 8 violence, a PIL was filed in the High Court by an Advocate Haripada Das Case No- 16/2021 . In this regard, the High Court has issued a notice to Tripura Govt seeking replies by 4th October (tomorrow).

The demand of the PIL was to set up a SIT to investigate the case under the chairmanship of a retired or existing judge. The case was heard by Chief Justice Akil Kureshi and Justice S. Chattopadhyay on September 20 and the next hearing is tomorrow.

Like Raghu Lodh, many youths under BJP is in the wrong trap of violence in Tripura and ruining careers in dust.

(Raghu is known as Fuchka Boy as after he conducted violence he was seen enjoying Fuchka with BJP top leaders)
