AGARTALA Sep 25 (TIWN): The meat seller on Saturday expressed angst after AMC officials demolished their shop in GB 69 Tila area for setting up their shops illegally. It is known during COVID period the meat seller settled their shop in road-side for their convenience but suddenly without giving time to the sellers, AMC removed them from the spot. Also the officials allegedly took their meat selling equipment from their shop.
On the one side workless situations statewide have hit the public and on the other side without giving any time to the poor meat sellers, their shops were forcefully withdrawn from the selling Point. Almost 25-30 shops were demolished and taken away.
The meat sellers asked the state Govt to take necessary steps and to arrange a place for them to continue their trade, as this is the only source of livelihood.
