KOLKATA / AGARTALA, Sep 22 (TIWN): While addressing at Bhabanipur constituency in Bengal, CM Mamata Banerjee assured her voters that West Bengal Govt will not impose Section 144 to suppress the voice of the People.
"We will celebrate Durga Puja here in Bengal without any restriction but see what is going on in Tripura. To prevent TMC rally, the BJP Govt in Tripura is welcoming Maa Durga with Section 144 just because Trinamool had scheduled a rally in Tripura. Now I want to ask about the people's stand who questioned our Govt for putting restrictions on festivals during high Covid times. Charity begins at home and so BJP should check its own lands first", said Mamata Banerjee.
"BJP Govt has imposed Section 144 but I would tell the Tripura Govt not to dare to chase Durga Ma with Section 144.............Now tell me should I listen to monsters like BJP or godly figures like Ramakrishna.......such a shame that they claim as devoted", added Mamata Banerjee.
She further asked the people of Bengal to celebrate the Durga puja at their best and to have good sales, earning in this festival, assuring that Bengal Govt will always be liberal and not like BJP which imposed Section 144 just to suppress people's voice", Mamata Banerjee said.
