AGARTALA, Sep 21 (TIWN): Denying to make any comment over Tripura High Court’s verdict on Trinamool General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee’s rally on September 22, Trinamool MP Dr. Santanu Sen said that ‘Saffonification of Independent Institutions are nothing new under the Modi Govt’. He said, “I will not comment about the Honouable High Court’s verdict but under Modi Govt, there is no such institution in India which has been excluded from saffonification”. He further said, “It is now clearly evident how much Biplab Deb Govt is insecure before the Royal Bengal Tiger. Today Tripura’s soil wants Trinamool Congress. No restriction can control the sentiment of people for Trinamool. Trinamool will be on the Rajpath”.

"Our rallies were repeatedly cancelled by police. For Viswakarma puja also law and order issue was shown. Do we now have to agree that Tripura has no law and order because in Bengal we don't need such numbers of police to control law and order on festival days. In Tripura also, I saw people celebrate Viswakarma puja peacefully. So, by showing these excuses, nobody can stop the people from showing their love for Trinamool Congress and Abhishek Banerjee", said the MP.
