AGARTALA, Sep 20 (TIWN): The ‘Dhaak’ instrument players have alleged losses in Tripura.
Even though the traditional ‘Dhaak’ is part and parcel of the social programmes, religious gatherings, the workers are not paid well even after working day-night.
Talking to such a professional instrument player, he said that earlier the rate of the instrument players in a group was around Rs. 30,000 but now it has downed to Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 20,000.
“We are just clueless about the reason behind such a down-market. We are just unable to understand how to continue this work because price hikes of everything are skyrocketing”, said the instrument player.
