BISRAMGANJ, Sep 19 (TIWN): Traffic movement over National Highway met with a halt after a terrifying road accident occurred today morning due to unrepaired road conditions. Locals blocked the traffic movement at Bisramganj in front of the Sepahijala SP Office. Talking to media, the locals said that they have been repeatedly requesting the authority there to fix the route but amid everyday accidents are happening, the local authority has no concern over the problems of the common men and daily goers. Consequently, they were bound to form gatherings to protest against this negligence.

The locals also alleged that the NHDCL’s construction works over the road is of very poor quality and thus, the quality should be maintained to ensure long-lasting of the public tax-paid maintenance works.

Later, police assured the locals that their problems will be solved and so to keep some patience. With the request from police higher authority, the locals withdrew the road blockade with the condition of faster repairing of the road and if they do not see results then they will go for further protests.

One person was injured today morning accident, which took place at around 7 am.
