AGARTALA, Sep 16 (TIWN): Custodial murder of Jamal Hussain no action even after crossed 24 hours. Today Subal Bhowmik along with other party leaders met with the victim's family, demanded justice.
On 14th September a young aged man named Jamal Hussain was arrested by Police at midnight and was beaten up brutally at his home in Kalardhepa area first and then inside custody. Not only that, the Police allegedly beat Jamal’s mother and his wife. Today TMC leader Subal Bhowmik along with other party members visited demise, Jamal’s house and condoled the unnatural death of Jamal Hussain, assured Justice to be given.
Later, TMC delegation led by Subal Bhowmik placed deputation to Sonamura PS and strongly condemned police brutality and demanded suspension of IO, demanding compensation of Rs 25 lakhs, for the deceased family from state Govt.
Bhowmik said, TMC will organise greater rally, if action is not taken against the accused behind Jamal’s death.
