AGARTALA, Sep 13 (TIWN): Slamming Biplab Deb Govt for forcing police to take politically motivated action against opposition, Trinamool has announced that its 15th September rally's permission was cancelled by police, where Abhishek Banerjee was scheduled to address in Agartala. Addressing the media, Kunal Ghosh said, "Police's letter itself is very funny. Police have claimed that the entire Agartala City has been booked by another political party on that day, which itself is very funny. How is it possible that police permitted another rally which was appealed on the same day, same time and on the same route ? It is totally clear now that BJP is afraid of Trinamool. We submitted a permission plea for the 15th September rally on 11th September but at that time there was no rally, on any other schedule of other political parties and now police are claiming that before our letter another political party got permission. However, TMC appealed for permission now on 16th September for the same rally.
Subal Bhowmik said, "Route issue is still acceptable but what about the unprecedented Bandh on that day ?"
Leader Sushmita Dev said, "My question is --- if we had sought permission on 11th September, then please reveal when the other political party sought permission for the rally and also tell us at which time their application was submitted. Please show us the received copy too. Police's duty is to control law and order. How many people could you arrest who vandalized the Pratibadi Kalam newspaper office ?"
TMC will hold the rally for 16th September.
