AGARTALA, Sep 6 (TIWN): Goons attacked on the convoy of opposition leader Manik Sarkar at his Constituency Assembly, Dhanpur.

Huge Police force was deployed to control the situation. Centering the attack on Former CM tension generated in Dhanpur area.

Police then urged Manik Sarkar not to walk further as the law and order issue can be erupted. Then Manik Sarkar asked police to arrest him but as Police did not do this, CPI-M workers broke police's barricade and walked a massive rally and successfully held the programme. 

In few local media, it was reported that some persons were injured in the minor clash erupted between two parties. 

Manik Sarkar has called the CPI-M workers as "Heroes" and "Heroines" of Tripura. 

However, attacks on the opposition is nothing new since the BJP govt came into power in Tripura and wherever opposition leaders visit BJP raises "Go Back" slogan but today CPI-M held further counter attacks.
