TIWN

AGARTALA, December 22 (TIWN): Taking a big turn from corruption burdened Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Sunday demanded a comprehensive development plan for the northeastern region while addressing a party rally in Sonamura, West Tripura. Manik Sarkar also tried his level best to highlight the deplorable condition of the NE even after the 68 years of independence. But, most considerably Mr. Manik Sarkar avoided the situation of corruption burdened Tripura even after the 68 years of independence.

He said NE continues to be one of the most backward economies in India. Most of the areas are insurgent strongholds and are reeling from acute poverty mainly because of the poor utilization of the natural resources owing to lack of infrastructure.

But, according to the economists Tripura is one of the most backward state that lacks infrastructural development in the rural areas even after the 68 years of independence. The rural Tripura lacks the basic necessities for the daily livelihood of the deprived families. Deprived from better education and health the people of the rural areas of Tripura keeps a hope of light in their livelihood till today. Pure drinking water facilities, primary health service, better education system, Anganwari centers, agricultural accessories, roads and transportation system, housing and others do keeps the rural Tripura far away from its access.

During the party rally at Sonamura on Sunday CM Manik Sarkar, failing proper utilization of the Central fund here in Tripura alleged that the neglect shown by the national leadership has compounded the problems in NE. It is mentionable here, one of the NE state Tripura, a left ruled state is recently burdened with corruption, scams and of course stands tall in regard of crimes against women that has taken a giant shape.

Therefore what do Manik Sarkar really mean by the model state Tripura? And this is what Chief Minister Manik Sarkar dedicates the state after the 68 years of independence and later leaving no stone unturned he points out the problems of the entire North Eastern region. Though, it must be a high time for the Tripura govt. now to come out successfully from a massive corruption and scams burden.
