AGARTALA, Sep 4 (TIWN): The tribes of Ratanpur ADC Village Bindamatila Poyangbari in Rishyamukh block raised their grievances before media and said that the scarcity of drinking water in the area has been going on for a long time.

Several times it was informed to the local leader but the problem was not solved, resulting, the hilly areas people, being deprived from getting drinking water.

Talking to the local tribes it is known, more than 30 to 40 families live in this area and all they have been drinking unclean water, resulting getting infected with various diseases.

In CPIM era and BJP era local leaders have been assuring the innocent tribes to facilitate by providing drinking water but yet no government has provided drinking water facilities in this area.

The local people demanded the government should take initiative to provide drinking water.
