AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Aug 27 (TIWN): Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has extended Central Govt's full support to Tripura's development. This has been announced by Tripura Deputy Chief Minister cum Finance Minister Jishnu Debbarman after a meeting was held between Tripura Govt officials and the Union Minister in the presence of CM Biplab Deb and Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarman. After the meeting, talking to the media, Jishnu Debbarman said, "The Minister is satisfied with the commendable job done by Tripura Govt in the last few years. Specially, the rural developmental works taken up by our Govt has been praised by her".
Jishnu Debbarman also told the media that various demands were placed by the State Govt before the Union Minister and she has extended her support. Tribal Welfare, Tourism Dept related various issues were prioritized.
However, about the new plans and projects, nothing was announced by Jishnu Debbarman as he said, the Union Minister herself will announce that part.
