Truck Drivers Announce Strike in Tripura seeking Fare Hikes

AGARTALA, Aug 25 (TIWN): Bharatiya Janata Mazdoor Cell (BJMC), Tripura branch has announced to go on strike demanding more fares / carrying charges.
Addressing in a press meet, BJMC members said that when the diesel prices shot up to Rs. 93, cement prices were also increased but only the owner groups are getting the benefits out of that but the working class is suffering.
They said that already across the Northeast, strikes are going on and from today, in Tripura also the strike will kick off.
