AGARTALA, Aug 23 (TIWN): The terminated 10,323 teachers are under bank pressure to clear bank loans even after they lost their jobs. Today the teachers in 23 Sub-divisions placed deputation to Deputy Chief Minister who is also the Finance Minister. The deputation was placed through SDM.

The "Amra 10323" organization leader Dalia Das said, “The terminated teachers on 16th August had sent a letter to meet Deputy CM Jishnu Debbarman but the Deputy CM did not respond to the letter and informed the terminated teachers through his PA that he can not meet the terminated teachers as he is ill”.

The agitating teachers said before media, “Recently we lost two colleagues - 1) Balaram Ghosh and 2_ Birchandra Nama and the death rally is continuing over the pressure to recover the Bank loan. Almost 75% of teachers took loan from banks by showing ‘Job Salary Certificate’ but now the bank is creating huge pressure to clear debts and also the Bank has been seizing the amount from the Guarantor's Bank account"

A teacher named Goutam Debbarrma from Charilam is among 10,323 teachers, whose home was seized by bank as he was unable to pay Bank debt”

Amid this terrific situation, the teachers demanded to pause Bank’s EMI until they get back their job.
