AGARTALA, Aug 23 (TIWN): National Health Mission (NHM) employees who are working in Tripura for decades have demanded regularization.

The employees' majority had voted for the BJP in the 2018 Assembly Election to establish it in power as BJP has promised to regularize all employees once it comes to the power but after after 3.5 years of the Govt, there is no sign to regularize the employees, which has erupted frustration among the NHM employees.

CM Biplab Deb many times had said, his Govt will fulfill all the promises in the Vision Document and there is no need of organizing protests for that but for the NHM employees, there is no hope yet.

Talking to an NHM employee who did not want to reveal his / her name, it was known that NHM never came up in protest for regularization, as they had full trust on the Govt but when Govt has decided to regularize the SSAs, there is no hope for the NHM yet. They are as deprived still now from their regularization rights as they were under the previous Govt.

"We have been exploited since the previous Govt's time. But now time has come that we have to start movements to ensure our regularization........many employees are going to retire......what will be their future ?", said the NHM employees.

NHM employees are appointed in various services where post graduate candidates are also serving.

BJP before the 2018 poll had promised to regularize all contractual employees which is scripted in the Vision Document and it was published by the then Union Finance Minister Late Arun Jaitely.
