AGARTALA, Aug 22 (TIWN): The incidents of the accused persons' escaping amid police presence is in rise in Tripura.

Reportedly, with the help of locals, an accused named Nayan Basu was arrested on Friday night in a case of theft incident in Amjad Nagar area under Belonia PS. Accordingly, a case registered number- 75/21 was filed against Nayan at Belonia PS under Section 380/457/34 IPC against him.

He was taken to Bilonia Sub-Divisional Hospital for Corona test on Sunday but after entering to Hospital Bathroom he was not returning for a long time. Noticing no response for long time the Police broke the bathroom window and saw the accused Nayan was absent inside toilet room.

He had managed to escape through bathroom's broken window.
