In yet another incident, one theft incident took place at the house of Bimal Roy, resident of West Lakshmibil area under Bishalgarh police station. Bimal Roy, the owner of the house, said that he, along with his wife and his son went to his father-in-law's house in Agartala last Tuesday. But on Saturday morning, they came home and found that the main door of the house was broken and all the gold jewelleries and other important stuffs were being stolen by the thieves.

 

After noticing this, the family members immediately informed Bishalgarh PS but it took 3 long hours for the police to reach to the spot, alleged the family members. Due to which the resentment erupted among the locals against police. Police later came and kicked off an investigation process on the case. 

 

Although various criminal activities including one theft after another have taken place in different areas under Bishalgarh police station, the OC in charge of Bishalgarh police station is not seen taking effective steps yet.
