AGARTALA, Aug 11(TIWN): BJP’s Pre-poll Promises of 50,000 jobs in a year has turned ‘Zero Recruitment’ in all departments.

Despite vacant posts under Health Department, the State Government paused recruitment process, resulting a massive number of Nurses are ‘Jobless’. As the Covid pandemic hits world-wide, the State government had recruited Nursing pass out students to provide duty in the Hospitals on temporary basis. Accordingly the nurses provided services in the Hospitals without thinking twice of life-risk amid Covid-pandemic. Now due to Pause in recruitment, the GNM and B.Sc nursing Pass-out unemployed students staged protest today before Health Department with a demand of recruitment and ‘Permanent Solution’ of their job.

On one side with due to less numbers of Doctors and Nurses, entire health department in Tripura has been collapsed and on the other side despite of Vacant Posts in the Health Minister, Biplab Deb Govt has stopped recruitment since 2018. 

Nursing students said, “After 2016 the entire process of recruitment stopped under Health Department, which has generated massive unemployed Nursing student”. A job aspirant nursing student said if their demands are not fulfilled then they will start massive protests soon. 

Meanwhile, a huge Police force was deployed in Nursing students' agitation spot and then all were arrested.
