AGARTALA, Aug 10 (TIWN): Today Trinamool activists were sent to suffer 5 days jail custody whereas the entire nation has seen that on the incident day (Aug 7) BJP members were the attackers and the Trinamool were victims. BJP along with Police and High Court PP jointly have succeeded in keeping victims in jail.
Ahead of the hearing, Tripura Trinamool leader Subal Bhowmik said, "West Bengal's Minister himself has come to Ambassa but no police official is ready to meet him. Our workers were arrested with non-bailable charges".
Police said, the Trinamool activists were arrested today morning.
The lawyer on behalf of the accused persons sought some time from the judge before pronouncing the police remand plea as they were not prepared for the arrest which was done without any prior notice issued to them. The Trinamool activists have been sent to Jail Custody for 5 days. Next hearing is on Monday and on that day, it will be declared whether a police remand is needed or not.
