MP Jiten meets Union Civil Aviation Minister, asks for Centre's help to normalize flight operations in Tripura

New Delhi, Dec 19 (TIWN):Tripura MP Jitendra Chaudhury has once again talked Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapati Raju at his Parliament Office on the current ordeal of air passengers of Tripura, stranded in different places of country, particularly at Kolkata and Agartala, who are yet to return to their homes on the eve of X-Mas Festival and New Year.

Union Minister has informed MP Jiten Chaudhury that he has already taken steps to sustain the operation of Spicejet to Kolkata-Agartala route and his Ministry is on the dialogue with the other private airlines too.

MP Jiten Chaudhury has further requested to the Minister, if necessary to direct the Air India to operate extra number of flights for the stranded passengers. Minister has assured that, Civil Aviation Ministry  will seriously look into the matter and direct his officers to constantly monitor the situation.
