Churaibari, Dec 19 (TIWN): Acting on tip-off, 159 Bn Border Security Force (BSF) and staffs of Assam Excise Department jointly seized 10000 bottles of phensedyl from a 12-wheeler lorry at Assam-Churaibari gate in the wee-hours of last night.

Based on secret input, jawans of 159 Bn Border Security Force (BSF) and staffs of Excise Department laid a trap at Churaibari area. While the lorry bearing the number NL02-L-8209 loaded with rice was proceeding towards Agartala via Churaibari road from Guwahati, the joint team conducted a raid in the lorry.

During the search operation, the joint team recovered 10000 bottles of phensedyl worth Rs. 25 lakh from the lorry at Assam-Churaibari gate on National Highway- 44, last night.
