AGARTALA, Aug 8 (TIWN): Khowai Police are now accused of violating human rights and playing a puppet role of the BJP Party. It has been alleged by Trinamool leader, Bengal Minister Bratya Basu that none of the Trinamool activists were arrested yesterday night but they were deceived by police and were taken to Khowai PS citing security issues. At first, Police asked the Trinamool activists to come with them for their safety and with escorts. The Trinamool youth activists were brought to Khowai Police station and whole night they were kept there. No food was provided to them and also no arrest was made but today morning suddenly they came to know that police had arrested them. Though the Trinamool activists were injured, police did not hospitalize them and after 20 hours, they were taken for Covid test and the on duty medical staff confirmed that Sudip Raha received severe injuries.
