AGARTALA, Aug 5 (TIWN): After 5 days' long protests by students led by Congress's student unit NSUI, CM Biplab Deb and Education Ratan Lal Nath have been bound to bow heads to the students' strength and finally hope arises that students may be passed as Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath has declared result-review.

But the journey of students from result day to Ratan Lal Nath's announcement was not so easy as the state has witnessed how the minor school students were beaten up, hospitalized after police brutally attacked them. NSUI leader Samrat Roy has also been hospitalized after he was tortured by police yesterday at Post Office Chowmuhani.

The police brutality on students erupted in massive resentment and police brutality was condemned statewide. It led the Biplab Deb Govt to change the decision and finally surrendered before the students' protest. Ratan Lal Nath also signalled to follow the West Bengal model where students were made to pass after review.

The historical students' protest gets a valid reason as no examination was held this year and also no proper class was taken by the schools. The Government totally failed to give access to Education to the students throughout Tripura, depriving a major section of students from regular classes but above 20% students were announced failed which generated massive anger.

Students' protests continue and blockades are also being pursued in various parts of the state demanding to promote the students who failed in the 2021 secondary examination. Students from protest spots to social media raised slogans “Education Minister Hay Hay, Education Minister Chi Chi........”

However, the final decision has not been announced. Students are eagerly waiting to know the final results.
