AGARTALA, Aug 4 (TIWN): Tripura Peoples Party demanded loan waiver for Poor.
"Due to continuous lockdowns to prevent the spread of the Corona Virus, states working class people are going through huge crisis situation. There are many families who can't even afford one meal a day. Many workers in various fields have lost their jobs and some farmers are unable to sell their crops in an appropriate price. The government had promised the peasantry to give supportive price of their crop but now amid this crisis situation due to Covid, the peasant society is not getting any help from govt, resulting in a deep crisis", said a member of the party.
"By taking loans from the Tripura Minority Development Corporation some unemployed and small businessmen were trying to support their families to run small businesses, but due to Covid the families are now under a severe crisis and unable to clear the debt. As a result in this situation, the Tripura People's Party is demanding that all poor families who have taken loans from minority corporations be spared", he said.
Meanwhile, Tripura Peoples Party leader said, if the Govt relaxed Crores of loans of India’s large-scale businessmen then why few lakhs amount of daily wager's could not be released?
